The government price monitoring portal eKalata has launched mobile applications for iOS and Android operating systems. The announcement was made by the Georgian National Agency for Competition and Consumer Protection (GCCA).

Users of the application can now compare supermarket prices in real-time, create virtual shopping baskets, calculate potential savings, and locate the nearest retail store branches using interactive geolocation features.

The agency emphasized that the portal continues to expand. The number of monitored retail chains has increased to 16. Price information is updated promptly based on data provided directly by supermarkets.

On the platform, users can track the prices of 13 basic food products including bread, dairy products, eggs, grains, and groceries, making it easier for consumers to make informed purchasing decisions and find the best deals available across different supermarket chains in Georgia.
