A contractor of the municipal Fund for municipal development recreated part of the authentic 19th-century palace facade in Batumi during the restoration of historic facades. The work was carried out on the building located at 9 Zviad Gamsakhurdia Street, a public space. The two-story building in baroque-classicism style was built in 1891 for the merchant Ter-Bagdasarov and is an official monument of cultural heritage. The project cost more than 200 million lari (about $74 million). According to the Fund, it will host the 'Saba Konstakhn' firm. The companies have already sold 184.2 million lari — about 92% of the total contract amount. Georgian architect Georgiy Kheladze, working on the object, told journalists about the 'Batumelebi' edition.
