The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia announced an active summer campaign for suicide prevention and the head of the organization "Deoligarchization for Justice" Keso Dekanosidze. A young woman, an active student and anti-corruption activist, disappeared for several days and was later found dead in the sea in the Kobuleti region. Following this, public organizations published statements with calls for the government to take measures to prevent such tragedies. On August 29, a meeting was held with the participation of representatives from Tbilisi to Batumi, discussing the importance of public transport and the development of cycling infrastructure. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, before her disappearance, the young woman bought a ticket, and eyewitnesses reported seeing her near the shore and later in the water, after which she did not return. The campaign aims to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention in Georgia.
