Renowned writer, dramaturge, and theater director Nino Kharatishvili was honored with the prestigious Winfried Prize, which annually recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions to the protection of human rights, strengthening peace, and promoting European unity. The award ceremony took place on September 13 in the city of Fulda.

As noted by the city administration, the award is given for "an exceptional commitment to European ideals and the protection of human dignity before the law." The committee emphasized that Kharatishvili's projects deeply reflect European history, the collapse of the USSR, and the subsequent political developments in the Russian Federation. One of her recent public projects, "Europe, Believe!", highlights the importance of democratic values.

At 43 years old, Kharatishvili continues to inspire with her artistic and cultural work, fostering dialogue and understanding across Europe.
