The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia announced new details regarding the case of 24-year-old programmer Tamar Bachalashvili, who passed away six years ago. They revealed that a follow-up investigation was conducted, including a comprehensive forensic analysis and a logical examination by an expert witness. Tamar Bachalashvili died on July 18, 2020. After nearly four days, her body was found near the village of Matsnevan, approximately 60 km from Tbilisi. In December 2020, the Prosecutor's Office officially closed the case, naming the cause of death as a lethal combination of intoxication and mechanical asphyxia. The investigation identified the relatives of Bachalashvili, who do not participate in the official version and believe that the death was accidental.
