Starting September 1, production of a unified school uniform for first-grade students will begin throughout Georgia. According to the Ministry of Education, the first batch of uniforms will be produced in special factories and delivered by September 14.
"This is a very important process. In all cities and municipalities of Georgia, there will be at least one point of realization where everyone can come, try on, and order the uniform," said Education Minister Givi Mikanadze during a briefing today.
The process includes both physical production and a special online platform for orders, allowing the public to place orders for the upcoming school year. To facilitate financing, commercial banks have been involved, offering special cash-back programs upon card use.
The Ministry also provides support to parents to ensure a smooth transition to the new uniform system.
