The Georgian Communications Commission fined the TV channel PosTV 2,500 lari for broadcasting biased content during the show "About the Truth". This is the first case when the regulator imposed financial sanctions for violating impartiality standards. According to the regulator, on June 22 and 23, facts of spreading false information by the host and guests during the show were recorded. The Commission noted that the law requires broadcasters to ensure the accuracy and objectivity of the information presented. PosTV has already received an official warning following an analytical post. The Commission emphasized that such norms guarantee the audience the right to receive objective information.
