The number of social beneficiaries in Georgia decreased by nearly 21 thousand people in June, according to the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs. As of June, 584,137 people from 146,996 families received social assistance. This is 20,896 fewer people compared to May. The decrease in the number of beneficiaries does not mean that all of them lost benefits. Most of them are temporarily excluded from the statistics due to ongoing verification processes conducted by the agency. From the total number of beneficiaries, 183,691 people participate in the state employment program. This year, new participants have joined the program. The information was provided by the Deputy Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
