The aviation school 'Mimino' in Georgia has become the first institution to receive official certification from the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA) to train high-altitude rescue instructors (2nd class). This certification was granted after a thorough review by the state certification authority of special training programs that were previously unavailable in the country.

Starting May 1, 2026, Georgia will offer new educational programs for training high-altitude rescue instructors. The agency has developed standards for theoretical and practical training of pilots-instructors, minimum necessary requirements for qualification, as well as criteria for material and technical base of aviation schools and qualification of teaching staff.

This initiative aims to educate and prepare instructors for high-altitude aviation rescue operations in Georgia, ensuring high standards and safety in this specialized field.
