Georgia presented traditional handicrafts and media art at the European Parliament exhibition dedicated to the occupation policy of Russia. The event aimed to demonstrate the legitimacy of Georgia's sovereignty. The presentation was led by Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Parliament, and former Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. They officially opened the Brussels exhibition on the sovereignty of states and showed examples of peaceful parliaments among European deputies and politicians from Moscow. The conference between Tbilisi and Brussels was held following the event, where on June 17, the European Parliament adopted 436 votes in favor of 145 resolutions, constituting a 'dramatic condemnation' of the occupation in Georgia. The European deputies named the methods used as the 'Georgian needle' and the 'real exposure of Russian hybrid tactics,' aiming to present the ideology of parliamentary choices.
