Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced his support and expressed gratitude for the Paris Agreement on climate change. He called the document "positive" and emphasized the importance of the commitments made within the framework of the agreement, describing it as a "crucial responsibility." "We understand the role of the agreement — it is a global agenda. This is a partnership, a set of named Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). They have taken steps to maintain sustainable development in Georgia. This demonstrates their genuine commitment. They expressed responsibility for this positive document, which was signed by the Paris Agreement," said the Prime Minister. On June 24, the Paris Agreement was ratified by 83 countries. The document titled "On the functioning of democratic institutions in Georgia" was also mentioned in the context of this positive development.
