Students at Tbilisi-based Ilia State University (ISU) raised ₾250,000 ($94,000) in less than 48 hours for children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This fundraising effort was initiated by the student movement Defend Iliauni during a livestream protest against higher education reform. The students' main motivation was caring for the country's brave children and supporting their families by providing access to new medication. This inspiring initiative highlights the compassion and unity within the Georgian student community.
