Грузинский документалист Натела Григалашвили удостоилась почетного упоминания на 10-й премии Marilyn Stafford Foto Reportage. Жюри престижного конкурса отметило ее проект The Final Days of Georgian Nomads — хронику жизни полукочевых семей в высокогорной Аджарии.

Григалашвили несколько лет жила в селе Горджоми, одном из самых изолированных горных сел Аджарии, на границе с Турцией. Многие там занимаются животноводством и живут в традиционных каменных домах на горных склонах, где проводят летний сезон, а зимой спускаются в долину. Традиционная культура «аджарских номадов» постепенно исчезает из-за экономических трудностей и миграции молодежи из села.

Натела Григалашвили продолжает работать с изолированными горными сообществами, документируя их уникальный образ жизни и сохраняя культурное наследие через фотографию.

Georgian documentary photographer Natela Grigalashvili received a special mention at the 10th Marilyn Stafford FotoReportage Award. The jury of the prestigious contest noted her project The Final Days of Georgian Nomads — a chronicle of the life of semi-nomadic families in the high mountain region of Adjara.

Grigalashvili spent several years living in the village of Gordzhomi, one of the most isolated mountain villages in Adjara, on the border with Turkey. Many of the families are engaged in livestock breeding and live in traditional stone houses built on the mountain slopes, where they spend the summer season, moving down to the valley for the winter. The traditional culture of the "Adjara nomads" is gradually disappearing due to economic hardships and migration of the younger generation from the village.

Natela Grigalashvili continues to work with isolated mountain communities, documenting their unique way of life and preserving their cultural heritage through photography.
