По словам Орбакайте, уведомление об отмене концерта она получила за два дня до мероприятия. Певица объяснила, что администрация города Батуми и руководство концертной площадки (теннисный корт на бульваре) не одобрили проведение концерта. «Администрация города, администрация концертного зала пояснили, почему отказали в проведении — в основном из-за того, что очень многие люди пришли на концерт с именными билетами моего концерта», — заявила Орбакайте. Кристина Орбакайте имеет гражданство России и Литвы. С 2024 года певица не выступает в России. Она является дочерью Аллы Пугачевой, известной российской певицы.
