В рамках реставрации будет проведён ремонт крыши, повреждённой погодными условиями, а также замена защитного стекла фресок. «Проблема в срочном порядке требует внимания. Мы полностью привержены проекту», — заявил Каладзе после осмотра храма на этой неделе. Работы планируется завершить к концу октября. Стоимость проекта составляет 1,22 млн лари (около 460 тысяч долларов). Реставрация финансируется Фондом Тбилиси при участии партнёров и специалистов по культурному наследию.

As reported by Tbilisi Mayor Kaha Kaladze, the project has already received approval and involves the restoration of the cathedral's interior and exterior. The restoration will include the repair of the roof, which has been damaged by weather conditions, and the replacement of the frescoes' protective glass. "The problem is urgent and requires immediate attention. We are fully committed to the project," said Kaladze after inspecting the cathedral this week. The restoration work is planned to be completed by the end of October. The project budget is 1.22 million lari (about $460,000). The restoration is funded by the Tbilisi Fund with the participation of partners and specialists in cultural heritage.
