Национальный банк Грузии (НБГ) выпустил коллекционные монеты по случаю 1700-летия провозглашения христианства государственной религией. Об этом сообщила регулятор на пресс-конференции. НБГ, как эмитент, организовал конкурс среди профессиональных художников на создание дизайна монет. Отмечается, что монеты будут изготовлены из золота и серебра. Концепция и дизайн созданы при участии грузинских художников. На пресс-конференции президент НБГ Натия Турнава представила всю серию, посвящённую христианскому наследию Грузии. Национальный банк выпускает коллекционные монеты разного номинала — от памятных до грузинских лари. В пресс-релизе названа тема коллекции — 1700-летие провозглашения христианства государственной религией.

The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) has issued a collection of coins commemorating 1700 years since Christianity was proclaimed the state religion. This was announced at a press conference by the regulator. The NBG, as the issuer, organized a competition among professional artists to design the coins. It is noted that the coins will be made of gold and silver. The concept and design were created with the participation of Georgian artists. At the press conference, NBG President Natia Turnava presented the entire series dedicated to the Christian heritage of Georgia. The National Bank issues a collection of coins of various denominations, from commemorative coins to Georgian lari coins. The press release named the 1700-year anniversary of Christianity as the state religion as the theme of the collection.
