Правительство Грузии выделило $2 млн из резервного фонда на восстановление 1700-летия христианства государственной религии в Грузии, согласно документу правительства. Об этом сообщил премьер-министр Ираклий Кобахидзе 21 мая.

Торжества начнутся 26 мая, в День независимости Грузии, и завершатся 14 октября в кафедральном соборе Светицховели, одном из главных религиозных объектов в календаре Грузинской православной церкви.

В программе — научные конференции, студенческие экспедиции, культурно-просветительские мероприятия и европейские культурные проекты, посвящённые юбилею.

The Georgian Patriarchate has allocated $2 million from its reserve fund to restore the 1700-year-old Christian heritage of the state religion in Georgia, according to a government document. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on May 21.

The celebrations will begin on May 26, the Day of the Independence of Georgia, and will conclude on October 14 in the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, one of the main religious sites in the calendar of the Georgian Orthodox Church.

The program includes scientific conferences, student expeditions, cultural and educational events, and European cultural projects dedicated to the anniversary.
