Главный и старейший стадион Грузии, «Динамо-Арена» в Тбилиси, планируют перестроить. Проект предусматривает увеличение вместимости стадиона до 70 тысяч зрителей. Реконструкция станет радикальным преобразованием исторического спортивного комплекса. Новую концепцию представили архитекторы Гии и Архил Курдиани, которые связаны со стадионом с 1936 года. Инициатором проекта выступил президент футбольного клуба «Динамо Тбилиси» Роман Пипия. Архитекторы отметили, что главная проблема стадиона — его небольшой размер в центре города. Они предлагают использовать воздушное пространство над стадионом для строительства нескольких этажей коммерческих помещений. Также будет построена новая парковка на 800 автомобилей.

The reconstruction will be a radical transformation of the historic sports complex. The new concept was presented by architects Gii and Archil Kurdiani, who have been involved with the stadium since 1936. The project was initiated by the president of the football club Dinamo Tbilisi, Roman Pipia. The architects explained that the main problem of the stadium is its small size in the city center. They propose to use the airspace above the stadium to build several floors of commercial space. The arena will also feature a new parking lot with a capacity of 800 cars.
