Starting October 15, the new five-star hotel Sairme North has begun operating in test mode at the Sairme balneological resort in western Georgia. The 104-room property has joined the Sairme Hotels & Resorts hotel group.
According to the agency bm.ge, total investments in the development of the hotel and related infrastructure amounted to 50 million lari. The project is positioned as a step toward transforming Sairme into a year-round international health resort. The leading European spa operator Ensana has been brought in to manage the property.
The full operational launch and official opening of the hotel are planned for 2027.
The lion's share of the investment, 30 million lari, went toward creating modern spa and wellness infrastructure integrated with the local mineral springs.
The Sairme North complex includes open and covered thermal pools, thermal jacuzzis, a hammam, dry and steam saunas. There are also salt and snow rooms, a Kneipp path for foot hydrotherapy, a fitness center, and physiotherapy rooms.
Guests will be able to undergo individual wellness programs using the natural mineral waters of Sairme under the supervision of specialists.
In addition to the spa area, the grounds feature a restaurant focused on produce from Imereti farmers, an open terrace, and lobby and aqua bars. For active recreation enthusiasts, eco-tours, horseback riding, zip-lining, and services of a local recreational farm are available.
The master plan for the resort's development was prepared by Georgian specialists together with the Austrian company Masterconcept and the Swiss company SA Partners.
The project is intended to address the long-standing problem of seasonality at Georgian balneological resorts, attract tourists during the autumn-winter period, and increase guests' average length of stay.
Once it reaches full capacity, the total number of employees across Sairme Hotels & Resorts complexes will reach 300. In nearby Bagdati, a job fair has already been held: of 100 candidates, more than 50 were selected to undergo training in international service standards.
