The budget of the newly established National Gastronomy Agency of Georgia for 2027 will be 5.74 million lari ($2.2 million), according to the initial draft state budget.

According to the document, more than half of all funds—3 million lari—is allocated for salaries for a total of 65 employees.

This means the average annual salary fund per agency employee will be approximately 46,000 lari (almost 3,850 lari per month).

Along with salaries, the agency's expenses include a program for "Management and Coordination of State Policy in Gastronomy." Its tasks include forming unified state policy, coordinating agencies, research, popularization, and legal protection of Georgia's culinary heritage.

The National Gastronomy Agency was established within the system of Georgia's Ministry of Agriculture on the initiative of the government to promote and protect Georgian culinary traditions and heritage.
