Azerbaijan Railways (ADR) has announced an increase in the number of trains on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route to four per day starting November 1, 2026.
The launch of additional trains will increase passenger capacity by nearly 50%—from 386 to 564 seats daily—while significantly reducing travel costs.
A major innovation will be the introduction of budget-friendly standard-class cars featuring open seating arrangements. Thanks to this, the minimum ticket price will drop by approximately 30%: tickets from Baku to Tbilisi in standard class will cost from 54 manats (around 85 lari), compared to the current 77.5 manats for comfort-class travel on Stadler trains.
Ticket sales for the new routes begin on October 2.
The night train will remain in the schedule, departing Baku at 23:00 and arriving in Tbilisi at 08:41.
