Georgia's real gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 6.3% year-on-year in August 2026, according to rapid estimates released by the National Statistics Office (Geostat) on September 30. Average real GDP growth for January-August stood at 7.6%.

According to Geostat, growth in August was mainly driven by manufacturing, information and communication, financial and insurance activities, real estate activities, trade, transportation and storage.

Meanwhile, construction recorded a decline.

The Economy Ministry identified healthcare; arts, entertainment and recreation; and electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply as further contributors to August's growth.

Georgia's economy is showing stable dynamics with consistent performance across key sectors, demonstrating resilience and sustained expansion.
