Export of Georgian sports equipment, one of the main categories of foreign trade, shows a three-year growth trend. According to data from the National Statistics Service (Sakstat), exports of Georgian sports equipment increased by 4.8% due to shipments to Russia and Armenia, starting from New Year. By the first half of 2026, Georgia exported 20.1 million liters of products worth $163.8 million, which is 4.8% more compared to the same period last year. Notably, the export of Georgian sports equipment occupies the 5th place in the list of the most purchased export goods from Georgia with a share of 3% in total volume, according to financial data of the exporter after the wine shipment. The main negative dynamic was the reduction of exports to the main foreign market — Russia, where shipments fell by 13.3%. At the same time, exports to Armenia increased significantly — by 24.6%.
