The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has increased its forecast for Georgia's GDP growth in 2026 from 5.5% to 6.3%. The annual inflation rate is expected to rise from 4.9% to 5.2% according to the bank's latest report. The main reason for the upward revision is the strong economic growth observed in the first half of the year, when GDP growth reached 7.9%. The sectoral outlook highlights significant growth in IT (+36%), as well as in transport and construction (+18%). The agricultural sector is expected to grow by 2%, while wholesale and retail trade are projected to increase by 3.3%. Another important factor is active trade with neighboring countries. In the first half of the year, consumer confidence increased by 8%. Georgian citizens actively purchased cars and houses, supporting the domestic market. The report provides a positive outlook for Georgia's economy and highlights promising opportunities for exporters.
