Iran has risen to become the third largest destination for Georgia’s vehicle exports, with a nearly 46% increase in export value, ranking behind only Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, according to the latest report from Georgia’s National Statistics Office (Geostat).

An unprecedented volume of exports to Iran took place, with 7,360 vehicles worth a combined $129 million exported. In comparison, during the same period in 2025, only 10 vehicles were exported, worth $280,000.

Accordingly, this year, auto exports to Iran increased by 46,241% in value terms, Geostat stated.

This significant growth highlights expanding economic ties and opportunities for Georgia’s automotive export sector.
