The fastest growing sector is transport, which increased by 29.1%, mainly due to the construction of residential housing as a key driver. One of the participating sectors is the small-scale construction sector, which contributed about 22 million GEL or 0.08% of GDP in the second quarter. Despite the high growth rate, the overall economic growth rate did not exceed the general economic growth rate. In the second quarter, the transport and storage sector grew by 19.8%, contributing 1.57 billion GEL. The report also includes data on sectors of industry, development, and services, including the number of industrial enterprises. The transport sector contributed 17.4% to the overall growth, among other positive developments.
