Georgia's parliament approved a new state budget led by Tamaz Borashvili following the resignation of the former Minister of Finance. The budget, named Borashvili, includes 83 deputies, with no votes against. This is the fourth consecutive budget approved by the ruling party since the start of their term, aiming for a deficit-free budget. The budget forecasts a 6% economic growth rate. Borashvili promised to work for the next 5 months and to focus on long-term internal debt reduction. The government is confident that the budget was chosen by the people of Georgia from among several options. Starting from September 2025, Tamaz Borashvili will resign after the budget is approved, and Deputy Minister Irakli Ko will take over the state budget responsibilities.
