In Georgia, 59 international migrants arrived through legal migration routes, marking the beginning of a new migration season. The Ministry of Internal Affairs held a press briefing to inform about the arrivals and the special immigration control measures in place. The migrants came from countries including Kenya, Turkey, Russia, India, Egypt, Ghana, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Philippines, Sudan, Cameroon, China, and Azerbaijan. The arrivals took place at the Migration Department center, where procedures for entry from abroad were initiated. The Ministry of Internal Affairs also announced an active border control campaign for 2024 to ensure safe and legal migration.
