Over the course of three years, the number of foreign tourists arriving in Georgia reached 20,727, according to official statistics. The capital city, Tbilisi, welcomed the largest share with 11,273 visitors. Other popular destinations included Batumi with 3,627 tourists, Kutaisi with 3,366, and Rustavi with 2,461. Forecasts for August 2026 predict an increase to 743 more tourists compared to previous norms. In total, by mid-2026, 6,105 tourists are expected, surpassing the numbers from 2025 (6,016 tourists) and 2024 (5,562 tourists). The growth rate is supported by the increasing number of flights, new airline purchases, and updated aircraft fleets. Among the total visitors over three years, 18,032 were tourists on physical visas, and 2,695 were on electronic visas. This positive trend highlights Georgia's growing appeal as a tourist destination.
