In the first half of 2026, Georgia imported 20,347 tons of alcoholic and confectionery products worth $67.3 million. According to the National Statistics Service (Sakstat), which provided the data to bm.ge, this represents a 20% increase in volume and a 9.1% increase in value compared to the same period last year. This indicates a growing demand for these categories of goods in the domestic market.

The main supplier country of these products was Russia. From Russia, 6,132 tons of products worth $14.5 million were imported in the reported period. For comparison, in the first seven months of 2025, 6,232 tons worth $13.2 million were imported from Russia. This shows a slight decrease in volume but an increase in value for Georgian imports from Russia.

Overall, the average cost per ton of Russian exports and confectionery products to Georgia increased by 12.2%. The top 10 supplier countries of alcoholic products to Georgia also contributed to this positive trade dynamic.
