Georgia ranked 42nd among 161 countries in the global Prosperity Index, compiled by the British analytical center The Legatum Institute. The Institute's researchers rely on data from the World Bank, WHO, Freedom House, and other institutions. The index evaluates not only economic wealth but also the overall quality of life through indicators such as health, freedom, and general well-being.
Experts assess clusters of over 100 indicators. In the geography cluster, Georgia outperformed Armenia (43rd), Turkey (102nd), Russia (103rd), and Azerbaijan (105th).
If we look at all post-Soviet countries, the leaders are Estonia (19th), Lithuania (25th), and Latvia (30th). Moldova ranked 57th, Kazakhstan 66th, and Kyrgyzstan lower.
