Up to 14% of Georgian abiturients who passed the Unified National Exams (ENEM) this year could not continue their studies. This was reported by the National Assessment and Examinations Center (NAEC) of the Ministry of Education of Georgia.

Currently, the minimum passing score for the competition was 3,744 abiturients — about 9.4% of the total number of applicants.

Another 1,795 applicants passed the exams successfully, but were unable to enroll either in universities or colleges. Thus, the total number of students without a study place reached 5,539 out of 39,689 applicants.

According to NAEC, considering the time when the exams were successfully passed, the main reason for the failure was a small list of selected educational programs. Applicants indicated in their applications only one or a few preferred choices.
