The Georgian Pension Fund forecasts that in the first half of 2026, Georgian companies will be fined 6.7 million lari for partial or complete evasion of pension contributions for their employees.
To identify potential violators, the Fund analyzes data from the Ministry of Finance about the income of employees and compares it with the declarations submitted by companies on behalf of their employees.
The response from the Fund's staff has been ongoing since May 1, 2025. This year, the number of notifications about pension violations has increased significantly compared to the first half of the previous year, ranging from 500 lari ($192) to 1,000 lari ($385) per violation. Additionally, a fine for unpaid pension contributions is added.
