In the occupied Tskhinvali region, the administrative boundary with the territory controlled by Tbilisi has been simplified. Residents of Akhalgori are now allowed to cross the line of separation several days a week during certain hours. According to the new rules, the crossing point in the Rukhi area (Odzisi) will be open for four days a week from 8:00 to 18:00. The crossing point in the Perevi area will operate three days a week — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, also from 8:00 to 18:00. Residents can cross the line only between the ages of 20 and 30 each time. According to Kambolov, many residents on both sides of the line have expressed a desire to simplify the crossing process for family reunions and visits.
