Tbilisi Zoo hosts two species of macaws: scarlet macaws (Ara macao) named Rocky and Kiki, and blue-and-yellow macaws (Ara ararauna) named Chico and Paco. Their bright plumage immediately catches visitors' attention. Currently, the macaws are in the middle of their breeding season. Chico and Paco are expecting chicks and typically incubate their eggs for 24 to 28 days. During this time, both parents actively protect and care for their future offspring. Rocky and Kiki have become particularly cautious during this period, often hiding from people and rarely leaving their enclosure. Visitors can enjoy observing these beautiful birds and learn about their natural behaviors at the zoo.
