The Minister of Economy of Georgia, Mariam Kvitsishvili, announced the visit of Uzbek Minister of Investments and Transport Laziz Kudratov and Minister of Transport Ilhom Makhkamov with a delegation to Georgian ports' infrastructure. The delegation visited the deep-water port of Anaklia, as well as the port infrastructure of Poti — the APM Terminals Poti terminal, the new Pace Group sea port, and the private industrial zone. The visit aimed to explore existing opportunities and perspectives for cooperation between Georgian ports and potential partners from Central Asia. Active maritime works are currently underway at the deep-water port of Anaklia, where the Belgian company Jan De Nul is performing dredging operations.
