More than 2,700 residents of Tbilisi took part in a free municipal lung cancer screening program within two months since its launch at the New Georgia clinic. According to the head of the program, a qualified team of doctors conducted the screening. Among them were 1,397 men and 1,364 women. The program's duration is one year. The initiative is financed by the budget of the city of Tbilisi, aiming to provide free screening for residents. The clinic noted that the screening's appointment was a voluntary choice of the participants. "Our lung cancer screening program includes three components — lung cancer screening financing. The first two were approved by the city council and tested," said the program coordinator.
