Annual inflation in Georgia reached 5.8% in June 2026, with consumer prices rising by 0.1% compared to May, according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Basic inflation in the country increased by 3.5%, while core inflation excluding tobacco products was 3.2%.
In the monthly price changes, the prices of housing, cafes, and restaurants increased by 2.1%, and transport by 0.6%. Meanwhile, prices for clothing and footwear decreased by 2.3%, and prices for petroleum products and non-alcoholic beverages fell by 0.1%.
Among product groups, prices rose the most for fruits and wine (+3.3%), fish and seafood (+1.5%), meat (+0.5%), and bread (+0.1%). Conversely, prices decreased for milk and dairy products (-1.5%), sugar and sweets (-1.3%), eggs (-1.1%), and coffee, tea, and cocoa (-0.7%).
