The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia announced new diplomatic appointments and new flight routes in a diplomatic corps update. New envoys were appointed in diplomatic missions in Latvia and Mexico. The diplomatic career in Georgia began in 2018, with experience including work with the Soviet Union in Poland and the German Democratic Republic. Since 2024, Abuladze has held the position of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary (envoy) in France.
The Georgian diplomatic mission in Riga has been without a permanent envoy for more than a year. Recently, an experienced diplomat, Irakli Kurashvili, was appointed, who will start his work in France in 2025. The appointment followed the visit of the French Foreign Minister to Paris, where Georgian Prime Minister Davakhishvili discussed prospects for initiating cooperation.
