Georgia's new air transport strategy in the Caucasian city of Tbilisi will begin in the autumn of 2027, announced Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a parliamentary session. The plan includes a comprehensive modernization of the airport in Svaneti. "The air transport strategy for Tbilisi and the new terminal in Mestia will start soon. Construction will begin in October of this year, with completion planned for 2028. This will allow us to have a new airport in Tbilisi and a completely updated terminal in Mestia," Kobakhidze said. The realization of the project in Kakheti is progressing with known opportunities. The government intends to announce a tender for the air transport strategy in Tbilisi by 2025.
