Batumi's real estate market is experiencing a strong demand, reaching record numbers in the first quarter of 2026. According to the consulting company Galt & Taggart, 4049 apartments were sold in the city during this period, totaling 321 million dollars, which is 15.8% higher than the same period last year. The main driver of this growth is the purchase of properties by foreign buyers. In January-March alone, 37% of sold apartments were bought by residents of Georgia, while foreigners accounted for 63% of all transactions. The largest group of foreign buyers came from European countries, purchasing 18% of all sales. Additionally, 16% of apartments were bought by residents of Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus. Buyers from Israel accounted for 10% of sales, Turkey for 4%, and Arab countries also contributed to the market growth.
