Georgia's economy is expected to grow by 6.2% in April 2026 compared to the previous year, following an 8.3% increase in the first quarter. According to the National Statistics Service of Georgia (Sakstat), key growth drivers include manufacturing, IT, transport, trade, and finance sectors. The construction and real estate sectors, as well as agriculture, tourism, and services, also contribute positively. The main business platform, the National Depository System (NDS), saw a 10.3% increase in turnover to 15 billion lari, with about 6.2 thousand new securities registered in Georgia in the first quarter, 6.9% more than the previous year. Some export figures show growth as well, with exports increasing by 21.1% to $2.44 billion. However, if re-export and only goods are considered, the figure rises to 73.5%. This data indicates a positive economic trend for Georgia.
