Georgia's tourism industry is showing signs of recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. Authorities are preparing a comprehensive reform of the public procurement and tender systems to address several chronic issues. This includes streamlining infrastructure projects, organizing film festivals, and managing blacklists to improve transparency and efficiency. The Ministry of Infrastructure, led by Revaz Sokhadze, has introduced special companies offering discounts of more than 20% on project costs to encourage tender participation. These measures have already resulted in increased bids from contractors and a rise in completed projects, signaling a positive trend for Georgia's tourism sector.
