The head of the State Security Service (SGS) of Georgia, Mamuka Mdinaradze, announced the presence of several European strains involved in intensive intelligence activities in Georgia. He explained their agents' involvement and denied accusations that this is a threat. Mdinaradze, who took office less than a year ago, emphasized the importance of cooperation between the state security and intelligence regimes. "I wanted to address the issue of several European strains that are present among us with intensive day and night work... We try to identify these people, understand their daily activities, and they are known to us. I do not fear, but I can confidently say that we are taking appropriate measures in this regard," he said. He also noted that the SGS is actively working to counter these influences and maintain national security.
