Ukrainian prosecutors said they had exposed a network linked to Russian special services involving citizens of various countries, including Georgia, that allegedly planned serious crimes such as contract killings, sabotage, and provocations across several European Union member states. According to an April 27 statement by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, “preparations for serious and especially serious crimes in EU countries were stopped” in an international operation, as part of which “executors, intermediaries, and individuals coordinating and financing this activity have been identified.” The statement said that since August 2024, the representatives of Russian special services, “operating from the territory of other states and using controlled intermediaries,” had been involved in these activities.
