Азербайджан не признает так называемые «президентские выборы», проведенные 18 ноября в Цхинвальском регионе Грузии, и их результаты. Об этом говорится в заявлении МИД Азербайджана.

«Министерство иностранных дел Азербайджанской Республики вновь подтверждает поддержку суверенитета и территориальной целостности Грузии и не признает так называемые „президентские выборы“, проведенные 18 ноября в Цхинвальском регионе Грузии, а также их результаты», — говорится в заявлении ведомства.

Так называемые президентские выборы прошли 18 ноября в самопровозглашенной Республике Южная Осетия. Тбилиси считает регион частью Грузии, оккупированной Россией.

Результаты голосования также не признал Евросоюз. В заявлении ЕС отмечается, что проведение так называемых выборов не имеет легитимности Евросоюза.

Azerbaijan does not recognize the so-called "presidential elections" held on November 18 in the Tskhinvali region of Georgia and their results. This statement was made in a declaration by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic once again confirms its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and does not recognize the so-called 'presidential elections' held on November 18 in the Tskhinvali region of Georgia, as well as their results," the statement says.

The so-called presidential elections were held on November 18 in the self-proclaimed Republic of South Ossetia. Tbilisi considers the region part of Georgia, occupied by Russia.

The results of the elections were not recognized by the European Union. The EU noted that the so-called elections do not have the legitimacy of the European Union.
