В Грузии планируют более чем вдвое увеличить годовой объем грузоперевозок с 40 до 100 тысяч тонн. Это позволит повысить логистический потенциал страны и привлечь больше грузов через ее территорию. Об этом сообщил глава парламентского комитета по финансам Ираклий Кирцхалия, отметив, что в настоящее время ведется координация с Министерством финансов для решения вопросов, связанных с транзитными грузами. План предусматривает увеличение объема транзита для грузов весом свыше 100 тысяч тонн и выше. Также рассматривается транзит легких грузов и полуфабрикатов, особенно если их общий объем превышает 40 тысяч тонн. Это развитие событий рассматривается как положительный шаг для укрепления позиции Грузии в качестве ключевого транзитного узла в регионе.
