Глава Службы государственной безопасности (СГБ) Грузии Гека Геладзе объявил об уходе со своего поста спустя менее чем полгода после назначения. "Я принял решение покинуть должность начальника Службы государственной безопасности Грузии", — говорится в заявлении Геладзе. Он сообщил, что подал в отставку после консультаций с политическим руководством и планирует перейти на работу в частный сектор, где намерен "служить интересам страны". Геладзе занял пост главы СГБ 28 ноября 2022 года. СГБ была создана в 2015 году, когда партия "Грузинская мечта" уже находилась в третьем сроке. Перед назначением Геладзе не уточнял, где именно продолжит работу. Также Геладзе сообщил, что с мая 2025 года функции СГБ перейдут к Министерству внутренних дел Грузии.

Gega Geladze, head of Georgia's Public Service Bureau (PSB), announced his resignation after serving less than six months in office. "I decided to resign from the position of head of the Public Service Bureau of Georgia," Geladze said in a statement. He explained that he submitted his resignation following consultations with the political command and plans to move to work in the private sector, where he intends to "serve the interests of the country." Geladze took office as head of the PSB on November 28, 2022. The PSB was established in 2015 as the "Georgian Dream" party was already in its third term. Before his appointment, Geladze did not disclose where exactly he would continue his work. Geladze also announced that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia will take over the PSB starting May 2025.
