Министерство внутренних дел Грузии подвело первые итоги работы специального подразделения по борьбе с «языком ненависти», функционирующего с 1 июня. За два месяца штат из десятков сотрудников выявил и направил в суд порядка 300 административных дел, связанных с высказываниями в публичном поле. Глава МВД Сулхан Тамазашвили заявил на встрече с Уполномоченным по правам человека, что деятельность департамента включает мониторинг структур, формальный вход в состав департамента и привлечение к ответственности по делам, связанным с языком ненависти. Министр показал примеры «успешных реформ в сфере языка ненависти» и назвал пресечение одного из приоритетных государственных дел. Объявлениями для продвижения о «расширении отдела» и «позитиве на достижение» выступил министр Мамука Мдинарадзе, являющийся членом правительства.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia launched the first special department combating the phenomenon of "language hatred" on June 1. Over two months, dozens of officials were identified and brought to responsibility for offenses related to hate speech in the public sphere. The head of the MVD, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, stated at a meeting with the Public Defender that the department's activities include monitoring structures, formally entering the department, and prosecuting cases related to hate speech. The minister showed examples of "successful reforms in the field of hate speech" and named the prosecution of one of the priority state cases. Announcements about the "expansion of the department" and "positivity towards the prosecution" were made by the Minister Mamuka Mdinaradze, who is a member of the government.
