Контракт стоимостью 324,6 миллиона лари на строительство получил в сентябре 2022 года китайская государственная компания Hunan Road & Bridge Construction Group. Согласно договору, объект планировалось завершить за два года, однако один участок сдали неординарно раньше срока. К концу 2025 года для автотранспорта откроют только первую половину этого отрезка, а оставшуюся часть завершат в первой половине следующего года.
In Georgia, after a series of tasks, a 12-kilometer section of the East-West highway was opened, which is part of the strategic corridor from Vostok-Zapad (M60).
The final section of the highway was handed over in an expedited manner due to the name of the road and the problem with the quality of work.
The contract amounting to 324.6 million lari was received in September 2022 by the Chinese state-owned company Hunan Road & Bridge Construction Group. According to the agreement, the contractor plans to complete the work within two years, one section of the road was unexpectedly completed ahead of schedule. By the end of 2025, only the first half of this section will be opened for automotive transport, and the rest will be completed in the first half of the following year.
